A Nail Services Technician will be expected to maintain and manage a nail bar or station in accordance with relevant regulations, provide advice to customers on beauty products and act as a brand ambassador usually within a retail setting.
A Nail Services Technician will be able to demonstrate and provide recommendations on a range of nail products, tools and equipment in order to provide advice and recommendations on: manicure services, pedicure services, gel polish services for nails,
nail art and nail enhancement.
Working independently or as part of a team a Nail Services Technician will be able to implement safe working practices which meet legal, industry and organisational requirements and record, maintain and store confidential customer information to assist with the selection of appropriate products, tools and equipment to meet customer needs.
A Nail Services Technician will be able to complete promotional activities whilst maintaining the standards of a professional appearance, the brand image, etiquette and demonstrating the required hygiene. They will assist with facilitating the customer journey, from their initial interest in the brand though advice and demonstration of products to closing the sale and handling payments whilst portraying the professionalism and values expected by the retail beauty industry.
A full time apprentice will typically spend 15 months on-programme. To be eligible for the Gateway Stage of the End-point Assessment, the apprentice must meet the following Gateway requirements:
EPA consists of two assessment methods: a knowledge test and a practical observation.
