The course begins with an introduction to Health & Safety principles, followed by a comprehensive overview of the course structure, outlining its goals and expectations. This session sets a strong foundation, preparing learners for what lies ahead.
In Operational Management, learners learn self-management and go through creating an effective Performance Development Review (PDR) in collaboration with their manager. The course then moves into managing others, covering essential topics such as conflict management, resource allocation, and project oversight to equip learners with the skills needed to lead effectively.
This module explores the “why, how, and when” of improving business processes. Learners will delve into workplace organisation techniques, lean thinking, and 6S standardisations. The course also introduces process flow and visual management to help streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Throughout the project planning phase, learners engage in detailed discussions with managers, where they assess project objectives, costs, and timelines. Structured Q&A sessions allow them to clarify expectations and refine their project plans to align with business goals.
Each learner receives one-on-one sessions for final project guidance, helping them polish their work before submission. After handing in their project for a tutor review, learners present their final project to both the tutor and company stakeholders, showcasing their skills and proposing real improvements to senior leadership.
